This is my personal experience of the syndicate bank interview which I attended and got selected.This was my First PO appearence in a written and in an interview for PO.
My previous experience in interviews in Private sector has helped me alot.As I went to the office there was 30 to 40 candidates waiting for their turn.I went to an officer and filled up a form.It was like filling up a biodata.Then that officer asked me to wait for my turn for marksheet verification.He was the only person doing the same.So he was a bit under stress.My verification was done.I went on talking with some of the candidates there.There was a guy before me who has worked till date in WBSEB and was always smiling.My number was 12 but it was taking a hell of a time as each intervies was being taken for around 30 mints.Just as the guy before me entered the room i.e NO 11 I started feeling a bit just a bit tensed.But it soon went away as the wait was again for 30 mints or so.Then after some time I was asked to enterd the room.I asked for permission if I can get in.My eyes revolved thru the room,There were 3 men and one woman.The woman at the time resemble to me similar to Sonia Gandhi in appearence at that point.There was one muslim old man with traditional beard and two others were Bengalis.

Why Banking after you are getting a healthy salary at a MNC?
What is bank rate?

what does reserve bank policy comprises of?
Why do think the inflation is not getting under control and any suggestion?
I at that time was suffering from Jhondis So they asked me
How does Jhondis occurs?
Dont u take care of yourself?
How do you think can you contribute your previous experience in Banking?
Then some general question about my hobby which was simulation games.
In total I answered all except one.that reserve bank one as I was not sure .
I kept a smile all the time and enjoyed their presence and let them enjoy mine.
And finally cracked it.
